The Bean Benefit is dedicated to supporting and guiding individuals who are considering becoming living donors.
This mission is deeply personal to our founder, Danielle Gervacio Graf, who became a living kidney donor for her mother. Danielle's journey began when her mother first faced kidney failure when Danielle was just three years old. After her mother recovered, the same battle resurfaced when Danielle was 19. Without hesitation, Danielle chose to become her mother’s donor—a decision she has never regretted.
However, the process brought unexpected emotional, financial, and health-related challenges, with little guidance available. Through this experience, Danielle recognized a significant gap in the resources knowledge available to potential living donors.
While many are willing to make this selfless choice, they often do so without fully understanding the impact it may have on their lives. The Bean Benefit was created to fill this gap, offering comprehensive consulting and advocacy services that address the emotional, financial, and physical aspects of being a living donor.
